FIND ID / CREATE API

1. Obtaining the Merchant ID
  1. Log in to your Clover Dashboard.
  2. In the URL bar, look for the text after /m/. This is your Merchant ID (e.g., .../m/ABC123XYZ...).
  3. Alternatively, go to Account & Setup > Merchants to view your Merchant ID.
2. Creating the API Token
  1. In the Clover Dashboard, navigate to Account & Setup.
  2. Under "Business Operations", click on API Tokens.
  3. Click the Create New Token button.
  4. Important: If prompted to choose between 'API' and 'Ecommerce API', you must select **Ecommerce API** to enable online checkout features.
  5. Enter a name for the token (e.g., "Easy Menu App").
  6. Set the permissions. Ensure you check Orders (Read/Write) and Payments (Read/Write).
  7. Click Create. The new token will be displayed. Copy it immediately as you may not be able to see it again.
